I purchased this wedge to use while traveling. I also bought the cover. You remove it from the convenient storage bag, place it open on a bed and open the valve. The first time I tried it, the wedge didn't fill completely. I contacted the company and they told me to leave it open a couple of hours. When inflated enough, just close the valve. That did the trick! You can also blow it up further if desired, but it tends to give the feel of an air pillow. This wedge has compressed foam that expands when you open the valve. To return it to the storage bag, fold it over top to bottom and open the valve, then compress the air out. I have problems with my hands, so I just knelt on it, using my shins and forearms to push the air out. Then close the valve, roll it up and place in bag. It feels pretty durable. The first 2 nights, we stayed at a hotel with a firm bed. I am 5'4" and 175 pounds. I was able to comfortably sleep on my back or either side. It does take an adjustment if you are used to sleeping on a full length foam wedge, as I am. After that, we stayed with family and slept on a very soft mattress. I found it difficult to get comfortable and awoke with my feet and ankles swollen - which I've never experienced at any time. I believe the problem was the very soft mattress not supporting the wedge. After that, I slept with my shoulders and head on built up pillows and reversed the wedge to elevate my feet, which resolved the swelling in just one night. The cover fit properly and stayed almost completely in place. It may help prevent sliding down, which is an issue in a short wedge cushion like this. All in all, it worked great as long as I didn't try to sleep on a soft mattress. Weird, but true. I will travel with it again. Keep in mind, it rolls up, but will definitely take up lots of space in a suitcase. This was a road trip, so I carried it in a reusable grocery bag, along with the cover in a zip lock bag. I have been searching for a good travel wedge cushion for months and this is easily the best one I've found.Got the bed wedge to help with my reflux and snoring issues and it’s certainly helped reduce both. It conveniently self-inflates once unfurled and is easy to deflate when wanting to store away. I’ve left it inflated and kept it under the bed during the day and it’s been perfect. The material is comfortable to sleep on and really just feels like an easy way to sleep at an angle. I feel relieved of symptoms at night. If you’ve found sleeping at an angle to be beneficial or even feel better if you don’t have any symptoms, I’d highly recommend this bed wedge as an easy, effective, and convenient addition to your bed.I bought it for traveling and it works well, it is easy to inflate and deflate and is light weight!I bought this wedge pillow because I suffer from gastric reflux, especially at night, and my doctor advised me to sleep with the head of the bed raised. I travel a lot so now I have something that I can take with me to help me get a good night’s sleep, wherever I am.Once it’s unfolded, the wedge self-inflates quickly and it’s also easy to deflate it. It comes with velcro straps and a bag, and it looks like a sleeping-bag when it’s packed up. I like that it has a wipe-clean surface – very useful when traveling. It’s very comfortable and does a good job of keeping my gastric reflux at bay during the night. I’m very happy with it!I loved that I could deflate it to fit inside my luggage. Inflating was a breeze.I haven't found any similar wedge that's more comfortable. The foam inside, in addition to the air, adds a little sense of stability that wedges with only air don't have quite as much of.The surface material is great, sort of cloth-like -- Something that seems like it's not going to puncture or tear for a long while. It's very convenient to just open the valve and let the wedge fill itself up.That said, it is quite pricey, and takes up more space and weight than comparable wedges with only air. It does have 2 very effective hook & loop straps to cinch it down, and a bag to put it in. If you aren't moving very often to another place, and want the best comfort, this is probably a great choice.I’ve been using the wedge now for about two weeks and I have to say I like it more than I thought I would. My doctor said I need to sleep elevated because of reflux, so I decided to give this a shot. I like that it inflates itself, and I can let air out to make it softer for my back pain. It’s a bit spendy but it’s better than taking more of those chalky tums every night and I am sleeping better. So far so good. This wedge doesn’t provide the voids to find a comfortable position. If you are a sound back sleeper, like grandma at the viewing, this might be your 5 star solution.
